ABOUT KEYA
Born in India & raised in Hartford County, CT, Keya Saxena is a filmmaker & writer currently based in New York City. She has a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
She looks to tell stories of identity, assimilation & diaspora. Her work has been highlighted by programs such as Made In Her Image x Panavision & Rickshaw Film Foundation's Cycle 5 Writers Room. She has also joined Bungalow Collective as one of their Creative Directors in an effort to uplift the voices of South Asian creatives.
Her short film, A Tale of Wilting Flowers, was in film festivals around the world and her thesis film, Manjha, World Premiered this October at the world's only Oscar-Qualifying South Asian Film Festival - Tasveer Film Festival & Market 2024.
